"Our holiday was perfectly planned and flawlessly executed through Ticket to Ride Travel. TTRide advised us where to go for the time of year we were free and for our surfing abilities, and arranged amazing surfing and yoga teachers for when we were there. They also advised us on where to stay, which was helpful because you can see from a website and from tripadvisor roughly which places are good, but you cannot tell where the hosts will be so warm and the food will be as good as you would like it -- things that can really make a holiday. TTRide knows all this, so we ended up in a beautiful place where the hosts were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. TTRide also arranged a less-travelled-by route for us to get home, to accommodate our somewhat complex travel needs. This we would never have found on our own and saved us money and time on the journey back. I give them my highest possible recommendation for knowledge of their areas, resourcefulness, and professionalism."

‘For years I’ve wanted to learn to surf. I only had a week so I took the advice of Ticket to Ride Travel and went to surf berbere by myself and took part in a course for beginners. The staff and all the guests were all so welcoming. Being a group, the beginners class was a great way to meet people. By the end of the week I was catching waves and I’d made new friends.'

 

Jonny Haworth - Essaouira, Morocco (November 10)

‘A friend and I were looking to get away in November for some sun and to try our hand at kitesurfing. Our criteria was not very easy as we wanted to keep the cost down, have warm water, sun, wind, surf and also somewhere with a bit of culture. TTRide listened to everything we wanted and came back quickly with ideas and the pros and cons of each. They provided insightful knowledge about every venue so we were able to make an informed decision.

The Trip was everything we expected, within two days we were both up and riding and when the wind was down there was excellent surf on offer. The town of Essaouira was very chilled with great food and friendly local, even on the day when there was too much wind to do anything there were plenty of things to do away from the water. The whole experience ran smoothly and gave us the opportunity to relax and concentrate on not getting blown away by a huge kite!’

“I have been kitesurfing in Egypt in October for the last 2 years and wanted to try somewhere different in 2010. A friend told me about Ticket to Ride and so I got in touch with them via the website. I was contacted within 24 hours by the guys and explained to them my ability, dates I was proposing to travel and my budget. They came back to me 2 days later with a list of three possibilities and talked me through the pros and cons of each. After talking to my travel buddy, we chose to try Corralejo in Fuerteventura. We had a great week with some decent wind and the accommodation was spot on. The kitesurf school on Flag Beach was very helpful and all of the instructors spoke good English which always helps! I will definitely be using Ticket to Ride again next October as it is a real breath of fresh air to talk to such friendly and genuinely helpful travel agents/advisers.”

"I was lucky enough to come across TTRide through a Google search and was blown away by how helpful and easy I found the entire process. Within a couple of hours we had found the perfect trip, but it didn't end there. In terms of location selection - This is the first time i've dealt with an agent who did, in fact, really know the area he was sending us to and added that extra touch. Without having to request it, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the in-depth travel advice Linley and his team provided, including comprehensive trip preparation, an itinerary that included perfect (& easy to follow!) directions, maps and brilliant restaurant recommendations.  Even when we were in Portugal, we threw a curveball and fancied a second location, which was not a problem and was all sorted for us in a matter of minutes! Overall - 11/10, easily!"

"Just wanted to thank you both for two fantastic trips this summer. The surf trip to Portugal was enjoyed enormously by all 10 of us - with some experienced surfers and some absolute beginners, you selected a destination that allowed everyone to get involved. The accommodation was also just what we were after – beach location with some fantastic facilities, including the best pizzas I have ever had. We are already considering a return trip, partly motivated by seeing the bar girls again!

The second trip was down to Tarifa for 3 days windsurfing. As with Portugal, the journey went incredibly smoothly and at an unbelievable price, particularly the hire car you organised. Hotel Hurricane was fantastic and perfectly positioned for the windsurfing/kitesurfing school and Tarifa was easily accessible for a night out.
