Che Shale, Kenya - Africa
Che Shale sits in tropical surroundings enclosed by its own beach. It is reached by a private sand track (4x4 only) off the main road running north from Malindi.
Once at Che Shale you probably won’t want to leave but if you fancy experiencing a bit of life in the town then you can get a lift into Malindi which is only a 20 min drive and enjoy what it has to offer. It is a vibrant town with shops, bars, restaurants and an obvious Italian influence from its colonial era.

Enjoy the freeride conditions or take the opportunity to learn in one of the worlds best locations. The beach is virtually empty and you can choose to come into the beach as far down wind as you like. For those who like the waves, you find some perfectly peeling left and right handers on the reef about 500m off shore. |

A good option for more competent kitesurfers wanting to go somewhere more accessible. The winds can be quite strong so smaller kites are necessary. Kitesurfing is extremely popular in Cape Town and the standard is unreal, so pack up your kit and get in amongst it.
